If your documents are not uploaded until 4 days before the exam date, your exam will
be automatically cancelled. You won’t be eligible for any transfers or refunds

If a candidate fails to bring their approved ID on the exam day, it poses an issue. An approved ID, limited to an Original Passport or PR Card, is a mandatory requirement for test day and must be presented to the Test Day Staff upon arrival at the venue. Forgetting to carry the original approved ID on the exam day will result in denied entry. No exceptions will be made, and requests for refunds or transfers will not be considered under such circumstances.

Application for Additional TRFs:
Fee: $40 CAD admin fee per TRF + $40 CAD postage fees within Canada.
Additional postage fees will apply for locations outside of Canada.
Enquiry on Results (EOR) Form:

Fee: $280 CAD, with a refund of $250 CAD if the score changes to a higher score.
No refunds for no score change or a decrease in score.
Request for Cancellation or Refund Form:

Ensure to review the cancellation and refund policy before proceeding.
Request for Test Date Transfer Form:

Fee: $75 CAD admin fee for Test Date Transfer.

More than 7 Days (excluding the test day) before the test:

• Transfer Period: You can request a transfer within 3 months from your initial test date.
• Selecting a New Test Date: If you wish to reschedule, please choose a new test date within the next three months from your original test date. Selecting a date beyond this timeframe will be considered a cancellation.
• Transfer Limit: Each booking can only be transferred once.
• Administrative Fee: Your test center may impose an administration fee of 75 CAD plus applicable tax.
• Registration Fee: Once the IELTS exam is successfully transferred, the registration fee is non-refundable. To initiate the transfer process, please contact us via email.
• Feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns. We’re here to assist you in rescheduling your test date.

TRANSFERS WITHIN 7 DAYS:

• Any transfer request submitted within 7 days of the original test date will be treated as a cancellation. In such cases, transfers are not permitted.
• Please be aware that transfers can only be facilitated within the same test center. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

TRF Pick-Up Period:
After the release of test results, hard copies of the Test Report Forms (TRFs) will be available for pick-up for a 60-day period starting from the test day.

Pick-Up Location and Timings:
You can collect your TRFs at the following location between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, for the respective exams. Please ensure to bring your passport or any other Canadian issued ID for verification.

Important Notes:

• All TRFs will be securely destroyed after the 60-day pick-up period.
• If you prefer, you can opt for Express Post delivery or designate someone to collect on your behalf. If someone else is collecting your TRF, please submit a Third-Party Pickup Request in advance.

Express Post Delivery:
If you’d like the test center to mail your TRF to you, please contact us at info@myetccentral.ca. Please be aware that fees may apply for this service.

For computer-based IELTS tests, Test Report Forms (TRFs) are conveniently accessible on the test takers portal. You can easily download and utilize them for your intended purposes directly from the portal. Please note that no physical copies of the TRFs are available for collection.

If you are a refugee, the initial step involves submitting a document to the test center for approval before proceeding with registration. Once the document is approved, you can then register for the IELTS exam. On the Test Day, it is mandatory to carry your “Refugee Protection Claimant Document” along with any other form of government-issued photo ID.

You have the flexibility to cancel your IELTS test registration at any time before the scheduled test date
by notifying your Test Centre. Refund terms are contingent on the timing of your cancellation and
whether exceptional circumstances apply.

Cancellation Timelines:

1. More than 14 Days Before the Test (excluding the test day): If you cancel your IELTS test
   registration more than 14 days before the test (excluding the test day), you will be eligible for a
   75% refund of the total test fee.
2. Within 14 Days but More than 5 Days Before the Test (excluding the test day): Cancellations
   made within 14 days but more than 5 days before the test (excluding the test day) will result in a 50% refund of the total test fee after the required form is submitted.
3. Within 5 Days of the Test (excluding the test day): If you cancel your IELTS test registration
   within 5 days of the test (excluding the test day), you will not receive any refund.

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES:

• The following are considered special circumstances for test-day transfers or refunds:
  Serious Illness (hospital admission or serious injury), supported by a medical note from a
  registered Medical Doctor.
• Loss or Bereavement (the death of a close family member), substantiated by a death certificate
  to cancel the exam.
• Military Service (enlistment), verified by a letter from the government.
• Transfer fees are $75, and refunds may take 2–3 weeks for processing. For all transfer or cancellation requests, please complete the following forms and email them to info@myetccentral.ca

• Special Circumstance requests require appropriate documentation or evidence, including but not limited to a medical certificate from a registered medical doctor, a death notice or certificate, a police report, or a government letter. If you qualify for a special circumstance transfer or cancellation after the test day, the request must be made no later than five working days after the test date.
• Please note that test takers who miss this timeline will NOT receive a transfer or cancellation and MUST
  reapply.

If you wish to authorize someone else to collect your Test Report on your behalf, kindly complete our Third-Party Pick-Up Form. Once your request is submitted and approved, the authorized person will be permitted to collect the test report. It is crucial that the designated collector brings a photocopy of your ID for verification.

The IELTS test begins between 9:00 and 9:30 and typically lasts for 2 hours and 30 minutes, encompassing the Listening, Reading, and Writing components. The Speaking component is scheduled separately, either on the same day or an adjoining day. The test format is as follows:

• Listening: 30 minutes
• Reading: 60 minutes
• Writing: 60 minutes
• Speaking: 11-15 minutes

On the exam day, registered candidates are required to bring a valid Passport or Permanent Resident Card, and it must match the document used for registration. The test center will provide stationery such as pencils, erasers, and headphones for the test. Test takers are allowed to bring water in a transparent bottle. However, no other materials are permitted inside the test hall. Prohibited items include watches, phones, smartphones, headphones, papers, mechanical pencils, erasers with wrappers, and jewelry. Adherence to these guidelines ensures a fair and secure testing environment for all participants.
